I broke something that was never mine to break.
I loved someone who was never mine to love.
I was sad when sadness was not mine to have.
I gave hope when all I had was regret.
I saw beauty and hope in a person when they could not.
I said I could wait when I could not.
I broke a heart.
I’m sorry.
I hope somewhere out there wherever the tides of your life take you, you find your peace, and when you find it, can forgive me.
