To Shetland Batwoman!
Well, such a lot has been happening, and since I am on the farm for a night it would be rude not to fill you in on a few bits.
We have been to Shetland, a fantastic place. Truly stunning. Imagined it to be a rock with a sheep hiding behind it. Turned out to be utterly beautiful, even in the driving rain. A full account will be forthcoming, i just need to get on my nice new bike (yeeeehar!) and get my butt along to the library to post it all as its on the laptop. Lots of piccies, both underwater and above.
Off to the northern isles of Orkney next week - the trip was my very first experience of Orkney and obviously left a mark. I cant wait, but i need to start stocking my freezer up with goodies. Talking of goodies, i am perfecting my banoffee pie recipie, practicing it on unsuspecting divers. Any volunteers?
Getting rather nervous about the up coming trimix course too. Really dont think i am up to doing it - did a dive the other day off Burray and practiced all my skills. Shutdown was painfully slow - my wrist gives me a lot of pain when i turn the valves which i know disappears with a lot of practice, but i dont have time to get to that point. Bummer. I also have busy fins, i cant seem to sit still with them anymore. Major pain in the arse, no idea how to fix it either.
Righto, thats about it for the moment.
